Sharon Carr, Money Management Coach
Sharon joined SELF in April 2023 as the Money Management Coach. Sharon is an Accredited Financial Counselor AFC® and Certified Financial Education Instructor CFEI®. Sharon has over 8 years’ experience as a financial coach. She is enthusiastic about helping individuals and families become successful in managing their finances and understanding the importance of financial literacy. Prior to joining SELF, Sharon worked at Cincinnati Works Inc in Cincinnati OH as a Workforce Financial Coach and The Brighton Center in Newport Kentucky as a HUD Certified Housing Counselor and Financial Wellness Supervisor. Sharon also have over 20 years of experience in business administration which includes accounting, tax preparation, and human resources.
Sharon moved to the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area in 2011 from Illinois. She is married to a retired Illinois Firefighter Lieutenant, and they have four adult children and eight grandchildren. Sharon earned her Associate of Science Degree in Accounting from College of Lake County–Illinois, earned her Bachelor of Arts in Healthcare Administration from Concordia University-Wisconsin, and a Master of Business Administration from Walden University- Minneapolis MN. Sharon is an active volunteer in the community. She volunteers as a Certified Tax Preparer for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) with United Way of Greater Cincinnati, serves on the board for Effective Family Life a non-profit supporting the youth in Fairfield OH with building their reading skills, serve as tutor for Gateway to Grace Foundation, and an active member of City of Promise Church in Fairfield OH. Sharon loves spending quality time with family and friends, reading, listening to music, and traveling. Her goal is to travel to all fifty states in the U.S.
