Neighbors Who Care: Renovations
SELF’s Neighbors Who Care: Renovations program was established in 2017. With board approval, SELF began purchasing homes and renovating them at low cost thanks to volunteer labor. SELF’s renovation homes are acquired at little to no cost, renovated, and then sold to a credit-worthy, low-to-moderate-income family, with priority given to first-time homeowners. Proceeds from home sales go back to SELF’s Housing and Construction programs, including this one, Neighbors Who Care: Home Repair, and Build-Up Academy.
