Mark’s Story
Mark joined the Getting Ahead program to overcome shyness and build confidence. Through the program, he gained a strong support network, which was vital in helping him break out of his shell. Inspired by his growth, Mark is now pursuing a Social Work degree this fall. He believes his newfound confidence and skills will lead to success in his studies and future career. Mark expressed gratitude to SELF for providing stability, new skills, and valuable connections. He looks forward to making a positive impact as a future social worker.
