Jilson Daniels, Microenterprise Facilitator

Jilson is Senior Vice President of Economic Equity at The Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority, He is a business and economic development professional with a background in finance and accounting. As the Senior Vice President of Economic Equity for The Port, Jilson manages the economic equity strategy for real estate services.

Jilson’s business career has included financial executive roles with high growth venture firms in Ohio and Kentucky with annual revenues ranging between $20MM and $1B. He started his economic development career at the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber in 2008 as part of the Minority Business Accelerator team. Jilson was also the economic inclusion consultant for the construction of FC Cincinnati’s major league soccer facility, TQL Stadium.

Jilson works extensively with minority-owned (MBE), women-owned (WBE), and small business enterprises (SBE) on capacity and capabilities through various not-for-profit business development organizations in the Cincinnati business development ecosystem. Jilson holds a seat on several not-for-profit boards in the Cincinnati region, including the Cincinnati Urban Land Institute advisory board, board treasurer of WBEC-ORV, and board treasurer for the Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council (OMSDC). Jilson also completed a two-year term on the board of the Workforce Council of Southwest Ohio.

Jilson is a native of Louisville, Kentucky and resides in Northern Kentucky. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Louisville. He was a bank examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland and worked for public and private growth venture companies in the following industries: sports and gaming, advanced manufacturing and assembly, product distribution, integrated facilities maintenance (IFM), telecommunications and technology, and restaurant start-ups.
