Connie’s Story
Connie, who lives alone in a two-story home in Hamilton, struggled to enter and exit her house due to mobility issues. Using a walker and facing steps at each entrance, she reached out to SELF for assistance. Connie hoped SELF could build a ramp and demolish her rotting deck. Thanks to volunteers, SELF restored her deck and constructed a wheelchair ramp, giving Connie the freedom to safely access her home.
SELF is a blessing. It’s easier to go to church now, and I can even go to the grocery store instead of having my groceries delivered!
