Erik’s Story
Before joining the Microenterprise program, Erik worked for two years at a window company but felt called to entrepreneurship. After learning about the program, he enrolled and quickly gained the skills to start his business. He developed a business plan for A-1 In Home Assembly, which continues to guide his operations. Upon completing the program, Erik was also approved for a microloan, helping him bring his business vision to life.
My business has been doing well enough to reach back into my community. I have been fortunate to hire people to help on a few jobs, and I am able to keep one person on hand as a co-worker. Without the Microenterprise program, I would have still been dreaming about starting and running a successful business, but SELF has equipped me with the tools to make that dream a reality.
