Before joining SELF in January 2021, Carie served as the Executive Director of the Animal Adoption Foundation, where she increased net revenue by 60%, expanded community outreach by 50%, and enhanced operational efficiency through innovative data-driven strategies.

At SELF, Carie has led transformative initiatives, including the creation of a transportation-to-work program that benefited 65 low-income households in just 65 weeks. She also spearheaded a grant strategy that secured a 20% increase in funding and developed systems to improve federal compliance by 50%. In her current role as Community Relations Coordinator and member of the Senior Leadership team, Carie oversees all aspects of communications, from grant writing and media relations to graphic design and multi-platform content creation.
