Adopt-A-Family
The Adopt-A-Family program brings the community together to make the holidays brighter for families in need. It’s a chance for everyone—donors, sponsors, and volunteers—to help create meaningful holiday experiences for families working toward self-sufficiency.
For many of these families, the holidays can be a stressful time. Adopt-A-Family eases that burden by providing both holiday meals and gifts, which might otherwise be out of reach. Parents feel a sense of relief, and children get to enjoy the excitement of opening presents.
Each year, SELF nominates clients who are working through our programs and could use some extra support. Their families receive meal boxes for both Thanksgiving and Christmas, along with gifts chosen just for them. Families provide wish lists, and sponsors purchase items like toys, clothing, and other essentials.

Getting involved is easy:
Sponsor a family by purchasing gifts or donating to help fulfill wish lists.
