Adopt-A-Family 2019

Each year stores set up their holiday displays earlier and earlier, bringing to mind the extra financial strain that our clients face during the holidays. Last year, SELF provided Thanksgiving meals, Christmas meals, and gifts to 37 families through our Adopt-A-Family program.

To be eligible for the Adopt-A-Family program, individuals must be actively working with SELF’s staff to achieve greater self-sufficiency through our programs designed to be a bridge out of poverty — to help them obtain better employment, increase their education, learn financial literacy skills, and build and maintain assets for a better future. Your Adopt-A-Family sponsorship shares the joy of the season with these families and allows them to focus on their long-term goals!

You can support this rewarding project in several ways:

  • Adopt one of SELF’s families by providing gifts from a “gift wish list” for any number of family members (a rewarding project for offices, clubs, churches, families, or individuals).
  • Prepare Holiday Meal Boxes for Thanksgiving and Christmas (a great project for families and kids, too!).
  • Donate gift cards or cash and let the elves at SELF do the shopping for you with toys, clothing, household items, and food to make holiday wishes come true!

Early Adopt-A-Family sponsor commitments help us match more sponsors with deserving families this season. Please contact Debbie Depew at ddepew@selfhelps.org or 513-820-5019 to for information on how to become an Adopt-A-Family Sponsor. SELF requests Sponsor Registration forms be returned to our office by October 25.

This family was sponsored through the Adopt-A-Family program in 2018. Your contributions make a difference!
